How-to Access Teams
Press on the Teams application to open it: This may be located in your tack bar/Doc or may be on your desktop. If you can not find it perform a windows or a spotlight search. If you are having trouble finding the application or don’t think it is installed please contact IT.
After logging in to Microsoft Teams, click on the Teams icon on the left-hand side of the screen. This will take you to the Teams page, where you can view all the teams you are a part of.
Navigating a Team: Once you have joined a team, you can access its channels, files, and other resources by clicking on the team name. You can also use the search bar to find specific content within a team.
Posting a Message: To post a message in a channel, click on the channel name and type your message in the message box at the bottom of the screen. You can also attach files, GIFs, and other content to your message.
Replying to a Message: To reply to a message, hover over the message and click on the Reply button. You can then type your reply in the message box that appears.
Using @mentions: To mention someone in a message or reply, type the @ symbol followed by their name. Than select them as they pop up. This will send them a notification that they have been mentioned.
Accessing Files: To access files within a team, click on the Files tab at the top of the screen. You can then browse files by channel or search for specific files using the search bar.
Using the Calendar: To access the calendar, click on the Calendar icon on the left-hand side of the screen. You can then view your upcoming meetings and schedule new meetings.
