Communication Protocols - POST
Any communication for business purposes, other than phone calls, are to be conducted via our Teams platform. Therefore, if you wish to use your mobile phone for work purposes, you will need to install the Teams application.
Post | Post - A focussed conversation about a specific matter ie a document for collaborative development or review, Team discussion regarding a specific and finite issue Announcements – made to the whole team. These would be important and urgent messages ie “School Open Today – Roads all open”, “Water Supply Compromised”, etc |
Audience | All members of the Channel or Team |
Expected Response | Engagement with discussion when you get a chance. These can be treated more like the way we currently treat emails. Respond at your next availability or by the time requested by a supervisor. Posts can be made and commented on anytime, they cannot be scheduled.
Announcements – no response required |
Examples | “Hi All. So following our meeting this afternoon, this is where I am up to with the table we discussed. Can I ask you to have a look and make edits before our next meeting. Let me know if you have any questions.”
“Hi Rob and Joseph. This is the document I mentioned the other day. I like the idea in paragraph three (I have highlighted it) Let me know what you think.” |
