Set Up Bing Chat AI

As AI is slowly becoming more prevalent in day to day work. We thought it would be good to introduce an AI chat bot here at CCS for staff in order to help them work more efficiently. This article will show you how to set up Bing chat on your own device.

How Do I set it up?

Simple, We have already Licensed our organisation for Bing Chat AI so there are only a few steps to help you set it up on your machine.

Process:

  1. Follow this link: https://www.bing.com/search?q=Bing+AI&showconv=1. Than proceed to log in using your school email and password.

  2. Select the settings on the top right corner (looks like 3 lines), and proceed to click Safe search like in the image below.

  1. Now in the safe search settings change the selected option from strict to moderate. This will enable Bing Chat AI to run without being blocked by the browser.

  1. Close the settings and Enjoy! We recommend bookmarking the chat bot for easy access.

Why not use ChatGPT?

Although ChatGPT is the most popular AI chat bot in the industry we have decided not to use it. Why is that? Well as we migrate away from google and toward Microsoft we have decided to use Microsoft's native chat bot: Bing Chat AI. Not only is Bing Chat AI more secure than ChatGPT, it also uses a better chat infrastructure model “GPT-4” where ChatGPT only has access to model “GPT-3.5”.This means that Bing Chat AI is more powerful than its competitor.

Why Would I use this?

Bing Chat AI is not a software that is compulsory to use, but it does help speed up some processes like: report writing, and class programming.

Look at it as another resource readily available for use when needed.
