How-to use Adobe Applications BYOD

This Guide is only for BYOD. Please see this article if you have a school provided MacBook

All students have Adobe accounts already set up by the school for them. This includes access to the following apps:

  • Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe software manager. Download and Update software from this hub)

  • Adobe Acrobat

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • Adobe Illustrator

  • Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Adobe Audition

Please see IT if you are not sure if your Personal Device is powerful enough to run adobe applications and we can give you advice.

 Instructions

To gain access to the Adobe Suite follow the process below:

  1. Navigate to https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/download/creative-cloud and install the adobe creative cloud application. This will serve as a hub to manage all adobe related software students are eligible for.

  1. Once the download has finished open the adobe creative cloud from applications in the finder.

  1. Select “View more”, “Continue with Microsoft” then enter your school email address and password.

  1. After Signing in open the creative cloud app again and verify that you are signed in by clicking your account on the top right.

  1. When installing more adobe applications please go through the adobe creative cloud to do so. Keep in mind that although students have access to all adobe products included in the adobe student license. Only download products as they are needed, do not install all products as they will take up all the disc space on your mac. Uninstalling adobe products through adobe creative cloud can help clear up disc space.

Tip: The shortcut to open your creative cloud application is located in the top bar along with the control centre and battery levels.
