Read Live
Using Read Live at home
Read Live is a web-based intervention program that we use at CCS. It applies the research-based Read Naturally Strategy to accelerate reading achievement. Visual and auditory prompts guide students through the motivating steps to develop fluency and phonics skills, support comprehension, and improve vocabulary. Students can access the program from desktop computers, laptops, Chromebooks, or iPads.
Instructions
In order for students to be able to use Read Live all they need is:
A device with internet access (desktop computer*, laptop*, Chromebook* or iPad)
The login address: https://readlive.readnaturally.com
Their Account ID, User ID, and Password (these were sent to you as a Direqt message in Seqta and can also be found on your child’s password spreadsheet)
A parent or other adult who can conduct the timings and pass activities
For use of a web version of Read Live, computers must meet the minimum system requirements. If you are using an iPad ignore this step.
In order to check this, go to https://readlive.readnaturally.com and click on ‘Check System Requirements’ in the top right hand corner of the screen.
The following screen will show you if your device meets the system requirements:
If the device does not meet all the requirements the program may be more difficult to use or may not work at all.
To effectively assist students with using Read live, parents need to know how to do the following:
