This guide is applicable to both the Teams App and the Teams browser app since they have the same interface.

If a file is located in a team all members of that team will naturally have edit access to the file.

  1. Locate your file within the teams desktop App or in the browser.

  2. Select the 3 dots and hit share

  1. Type the recipients email. (Our school directory will only automatically pick up internal users.)

  1. Select what permission to grant the selected users.

  1. Select the cog next to the copy link button and double check all information is correct. (for this demonstration we are selecting “Only users I add”)

  1. Press Apply then pressy Copy Link

  1. Send your link to the recipient using whatever method you wish. For this example I have used teams chat but teams posting, emailing and synergetic correspondence are also available for sharing links.
